Wheel alignment refers to the adjustment of a vehicle’s suspension – the system that connects a vehicle to its wheels. Proper alignment ensures that all wheels are pointed in the same direction and are perpendicular to the ground. This is important for several reasons, including improving handling, extending tire life, and ensuring that a vehicle travels in a straight line.
At Part Worn Tyres Braintree, we pride ourselves on using only the best equipment to ensure that your vehicle is running at its optimal performance. That’s why we exclusively use state-of-the-art Hunter wheel alignment machines for all of our alignment services. These machines are recognized in the industry as some of the most accurate and reliable tools available. They use advanced technology, such as digital cameras and precision sensors, to provide a detailed analysis of your vehicle’s alignment and to make precise adjustments as needed. With our Hunter machines, you can trust that your wheels will be perfectly aligned, improving the handling, safety and fuel efficiency of your vehicle.
If for some reason we are not able to align your vehicle, you will not be charged. We’ll provide you with a full colour printout stating the reason and what you need to do before we can align you vehicle. If you have a problem with your alignment within 7 days of the date shown on your print out, we’ll re-align your vehicle for FREE.
After you car is aligned, we highly recommend tyre re-alignment every 12 months. If your vehicle has been in a car accident, has excessive curbing or pothole damage, bring it in for an accurate wheel alignment, to ensure the safety of your vehicle for yourself and your passengers.

A: Wheel alignment is an important aspect of vehicle maintenance, as it ensures that all wheels are pointed in the same direction and are perpendicular to the ground.
A: Wheel Alignment is important for several reasons, including improving handling, extending tire life, and ensuring that a vehicle travels in a straight line.
A: Different vehicle makes and models may require different types of wheel alignment. There are three main types of wheel alignment: Toe, Camber, and Caster.
A: Toe alignment refers to the angle at which the wheels are pointed in relation to the centerline of the vehicle. If the wheels are pointed inwards, the alignment is said to be “toe-in,” and if they’re pointed outwards, the alignment is “toe-out.” Toe alignment is important because it affects the way the tire wears and how the vehicle handles. Improper toe alignment can cause uneven tire wear, as well as make the vehicle pull to one side or the other.
A: Camber refers to the angle at which the wheels are tilted inwards or outwards, as viewed from the front of the vehicle. If the top of the wheel is tilted outwards, the alignment is “positive camber,” and if it’s tilted inwards, the alignment is “negative camber.” Camber alignment is important because it affects the way the tires make contact with the road. Incorrect camber alignment can cause uneven tire wear, and can make the vehicle pull to one side or the other, especially when cornering.
A: Caster is the angle of the steering axis in relation to the vertical plane. The steering axis is an imaginary line that runs through the center of the upper and lower steering pivot points. If the steering axis tilts towards the rear of the vehicle, the alignment is “positive caster,” and if it tilts towards the front, the alignment is “negative caster.” Caster alignment primarily affects steering stability and directional control.
